First ride of my bespoke Parlee Z2
Wow, they’ve only just gone and done it! Built my dream machine.
The conversation I had on the phone with Tom Rodi back in March was obviously taken to the word. The carbon damping is perfect, the power transfer stunning, and the steering absolutely bang on how I like it – fast, but perfectly smooth and stable. I even took the tape measure to it, just to see how close it was to the CAD drawing
Millimetre perfect. Including the seat position, bars and hoods! Now that is impressive.
And the really great thing? It fits me like a glove. As soon as I get on the bike all the controls fall to hand perfectly – no getting comfy on the seat or odging myself around to find the most comfortable position. I get on, and instantly I’m comfortable. Brilliant.
I’ve got a long ride coming up soon, the Quebrantahuesos in Spain on June 20th. 205km in the Pyrenees. I’ll know for sure then if it’s a long distance machine too.
Oh, and I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but I think this thing is stunning…
